I am really envious of your camellia stump, but I think its too early to tell how you can style this. Is it a camellia sasanqua? I really like the fact that you are going to try using this, its not often that you see camellia as bonsai anymore.

Hey James, this stump came from a couple of guys back yard who own the local nursery, they were amazed that i took the hour and a half to dig it, they also thought that it would never live either.
I'm not sure how ever what type of camelia it is, hopefully spring will tell.
James I'm just after a style that will suit so I can train the new branches in that direction, there are many more shoots than you can see just coming out. So a design to suit the stump is all i'm after.

No, I know these guys, I buy my wire and other poducts from them, i also built a shade house for them.
They had other ones before i found this one, they ripped them out with the car and put them through the shredder :palm:
I almost cried, they needed the room and thought they would not live any how. They know diferent now.

They own a nursery and they didn't know that?? :palm: I can imagine how you must have felt after imagining all those years those camellias would have been growing :shake:

Good luck with this stump anyway mate, I'm sure given a few years it could look very nice.

Hey Mick

No good at the virts sorry, but you need to just let it grow and develop a good leader or two of each 'trunk' so they will have a trunkline to style. Yoe would only want a few branches off the stumps, with the rest of the new trunks.

Bloody good score.

Mick,
I have been resisting a comment as this is a great twin trunk. I agree with Tony - give it a chance to grow and mature a bit. Mother Nature will show a way in a year or two and you and I both know that you should always do what mother says!

My style may not be to your liking but here is my take on branching direction and future carving.

Thanks Tony and Watto for teaching patience.
Thank you Rowan for the inspiration and the time you have taken to help me out.
Thank you Dean I had already got your other message.
What i have done is wire all branches horizontally with movement and a couple of leaders with movement, at this stage i will leave it untill i get that itch.
So i have taken all of your points into consideration and used a bit from each. :D

Thank you
Mick
