Here's a few of my smaller trees this autumn. Hoping they give some enjoyment and maybe inspiration to someone.

Looking quite nice in autumn colour with a carpet of fallen leaves.

This elm was developed from a root cutting - a great method to produce tiny bonsai.

This trident was originally a triple trunk but the front right trunk suddenly died back leaving this nice small twin.

I've had this elm for quite a few years but it is very slow to develop - thickens very slowly and is reluctant to ramify much. This variety only loses its leaves in very cold winters. A few dead twigs this year shows that it is overdue for a repot.

Lovely! The Seiju with the flecks of gold is especially appealing, but they are all perfect. :worship:

Great work, Shibui!

You've got me inspired to start working with smaller stock (maybe I'll be chopping down some of my bigger stock  )! I particularly like the Trident - great ramification!

Thanks for sharing!

Fly.

Steven, That small seiju is still alive but I don't think it has improved since that last pic was taken. This year it just seemed to have very little energy and, if anything has lost ramification rather than improved. I really prefer the twin trunk seiju at the top of this thread now. See what you think.

sorry Neil it thought it was a english elm? anyway still bloody nice. After looking at your twin trunk im unsure :lost: but since you like the twin trunk better you wont mind parting with this one. ;)
