Went on a dig at a friends property today and came away with these little terrors, also an unusual find........ pics attached. Any and all thoughts /comments welcomed.
The privet stumps are to numerous to count on this property and there are lantana stumps I think came out of a seqouia forest. Will take a lot of time and effort to clean the place up, but the stock is great.
Many large Calistamon to air layer as well, of all colours. WooHOO

Congratulations, nice find(s). All dug trees need time to recover before you do any work on them. Being Privet, 12 months is enough, but most other species it is a good idea to give dug trees at least two years to get over the trauma.
In that time you can plan you "attack".
Good luck.

Hi everyone,
Just a 3 monthly update on the Privet. As you can see it is growing very vigorously. I took out the two middle trunks and opended it up a bit. I then reduced the left and right trunks at different heights. I will be carving the trunks next when I get a few hours. Lots of branches to choose from all around.

Well done mate, you know i love privet.
Get some wire on and put some movement in now.
Coil the wire really large so there is plenty of room, you know how these things grow.
Mick ya mate
