Ripper stumps there Ozzy! I am sure they will turn out to be very special indeed!
In the third picture from the top, the base of the undercut olive trunk looks quite damp/oily etc...
Ozzy, do you treat a freshly undercut olive base with anything once it has been soaking in seasol etc and is ready to plant?
I mean, do the bases deteriorate at all once planted? Or are they fine as is?
Cheers, Dario.

Hi Dario, the olive was just sitting in a tub of water before I lifted it out for a photo so its just water you can see on the base, I usually just soak them in water for a week or two then put them in potting mix, some I have just put in coir peat and not even added any fertilizer for 18 months and they've been fine, I'm a lazy gardener but

, some extra TLC sure wouldn't hurt though I reckon

, you just can't seem to do no wrong with olives, they're a great plant for bonsai.
