Shohin video

There are a lot of bonsai videos on You Tube, but very few show as good a demo job as Graham Potter does on this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrk0T4_5 ... re=related
For those who start a shohin with the stump of a cut-down tree, I think Graham's carving and styling are an inspiration.

Thankyou Lisa - that really gets the mind ticking on some other projects that could be undertaken in the coming months, taking ordinary middle size bonsai to dynamic shohin?

Agreed. I'd love to see this U.K. artist do some workshops here in Oz.
(Leigh Taafe, weren't you planning to organise workshops by overseas artists? How about this guy?)

Great idea. I must say that chunky shohin with good deadwood and yet with elegant branching are my favourites.
They suggest ancient trees and beauty, i.e. the best of bonsai. A 'tour de force' in such small trees!
