buds

ive got a young maple that has just started to open buds and also a elm that has a couple of new leaves on it. why would that be and is it a problem?
Hi Milly and welcome. No that is what they are supposed to do - you may not get a full on winter and they are now waking up. Perfect time to repot if needed.
