Here is my new forest,

I've taken some advise and put different sized plants in , and a fern :)

Hopefully this stream works i have not filled it yet as the glue is still drying.

How's yours coming Mitch?

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Greetings, Your label is correct, the forrest looks young and new. As the trees get older it would be nice to have some of the branches more horizontal or even down below the horizontal. The composition is interesting but the trees are overpowered by both the slate creek and the moss.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce.

Yes I would like to be able to get them horizontal. Ill have to work on that.
With this one the stream is supposed to be the main feature. Not really bonsai I know but its fun to make.

Without the fun, there is no bonsai... the stream looks good, and the trees will come....

Did you take photos of the construction????
What did you use for the reseviour??

Hey Mate! Geez your quick! I'm still on the planning stage, as I rent I can't really afford several trial runs (limited on space), I want to get the first right.

I must say, I am impressed that you can contain that flow, what a torrent! :tu: I believe a trickle would be as effective, as the torrent yet still as impressive. :) If you crimp the tube going to the top spout, it should reduce the flow without much/any damage to the pump.

What moss are you using? Spag?
Here's an easy way of propagating more varieties, I put together. viewtopic.php?f=104&t=5893&start=0&hili ... milkshakes

I am on my first day off since we discussed me starting, perhaps this arvo I'll check the shed for some construction materials.
I am hoping to create one which can be viewed from all sides, not sure how I'll go with that.
At one stage I found an image online in b+w of a three tray landscape, put side by side the landscape flowed through it. Each panel even by itself was exquisite. I am trying to find the image again, someone might be able to help me there. :lost:
