G'day everyone

I've been thinking about building a greenhouse for some time now. I've had a look on youtube and seen alot of people building them out of timber.
I was thinking of keeping costs down and framing one up with treated pine studs rather than using expensive hardwood.

How long do you think a treated pine greenhouse will last ? How long have you had yours ?

Given the correct rating, H4 inground/ H3 above ground it will last decades especially if painted well. If concreting H3 into footers, be sure to slope the top planes down away from the timber to stop water pooling at the timber and help it run off/away.

Go to seccond hand building places, pick up alluminium windows for your glass.
That way in summer you can open everything up.

Good luck! If you looking for a less permanent design Buzzings, is doing a reasonable walk in one (2.4x1.5m approx) for $99.
Clear vinyl walls and a couple of shelves, which could how a couple dozen plants.
Not sure if they are doing them nationally though or just in Sydney.

I thought about this option but would rather just wrap it in that uv plastic to keep the cost down.

And Mitchell I have one of these but I got it from the reject shop. It's done the job so far but is on its way out.

The frame is weakening, but the plastic is still good.
