A couple Hibiscus any ideas?

Hi,

Here are a couple hibiscus that I did an air layer on around 5-6 months ago.

They are a bit big and was thinking of doing a trunk chop to get some taper.
Anyone got any ideas on the direction that I can take with them.

Was thinking of cutting the first tree where the red lines are on the image.

Is it too much for the tree to handle?

Howdy
Saw this post last night and thuought Yay another one doing Hibiscus :-)

You can cut them back as hard as you like and they will still thrive. But I would leave soem of the smaller branch to start taper in the tree

I know not much movement,

Ken

As a second look, I would maybe cut everything off but leave that little shoot out the back?

Woudl that one give movement to use?

mm yes the back shoot might be a better option I will have another look at it from a different angle.

This Hibiscus has small white flowers so it should look very nice as a bonsai, I might have a closer look at the tree in the front and layer off some more branches with better movement.
