It is decision time for this little black pine, I cut the needles today to reveal lots of buds and lots of options. I will repot soon and hopefully have a good plan. At that time I will remove many unwanted buds an start to develop a small tree I expect the final height to be approximately 12cm

At this stage I am thinking of removing the central trunk and developing a semi-cascade

gday Gerard,
I would be going with the semi too, but I am somewhat bias to a really good semi.
I wouldnt mind seeing this one out of the pot when you do as it will give a lot more options to see with it. right now I cant see much with it sitting lower in the nursery pot.

I removed this tree from its pot and found the roots to be a bit dissapointing, so decided to go root over rock.
First to choose a nice rock.

I always stress to people, if you place an ordinary tree on an ordinary rock you may spend 10 years making the tree into something special, but the composition will be ordinary because you used an ordinary rock.

I decided to use rock 1
