:gday: mate,

keep the tree where it is for as long as you can,
what we need to know is that putting a tree in a bonsai pot does not make it a bonsai.

i have got some trees that have been in training pots for over 15 20 years. take your time when choosing a bonsai pot, look at your tree over time and then choose your pot. this should be a timely thought.

when is a tree a bonsai? When who is gone! :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

GOOD LUCK

Hi Wally
check out this wiki article on how to grow a Bonsai https://www.ausbonsai.com.au/wiki/index. ... _Bonsai%3F

It will explain ( hopefully) the process you need to take to get your tree into a bonsai Pot. You have quite a few years yet till you have to worry about when to put into his final pot
