Thuja Orientalis Elegentissima

This has been a slow progression from a landscape tree to a Bonsai trainer,originally over 1.5m high . I have several that were hacked back hard to see if they would re-shoot lower down the old trunks .Well the do , however the also get a lot of die back . This was removed from the garden bed 8 weeks ago and left on the ground until yesterday

. I soaked it in water overnight ,

then i gave it a quick root prune after removing the red clay from around the base . After a quick glance for a possible front its into a training pot and await the next step ,

coming up with a design for this multi trunked juniper . I might put this up for a vert to see the different idea's others come up with . . The original pics are too big to upload so i will put the full topic on the blog in the coming days .Cheers Alpineart

Two questions mate........Where are you finding the room for ALL these trees and how many pots you got :palm: :D :lol:

Hi Mathew ,still have plenty of room , still haven't got enough pots .Keep robbing Peter to pot Paul . I have to draw another line in the sand someday , just can't remember where the line was ,i crossed it years ago . Cheers Alpine

how did it go? I have the opportunity to dig up 3....any tips would be fantastic :hooray:
