Finally, my first real post!

On the weekend I finally got off my bum and had a go at building some display stands for my trees.

I'm not sure if I should use slates or shade cloth for the tops, comments would be welcome.

Great design fantastic effort
Deborah talked me out of doing slates or lathe house is another word for what I think you mean. She believes that the sun still burns through them. Not sure myself but we do know shade cloth works well. I would go for a 50% one but on second thoughts your trees look mostly sun lovers maybe even a 25% if you can get it.
Or maybe the slats would be a good idea
Glad I could help :?

Thanks for the kind words, I am leaning towards shadecloth for the top and maybe a front 'curtain' in case of hail or frost.

I'm planning on an irrigation system running along the back of each shelf and a mist system from behind the front board.

Now I just have to get some decent trees to fill them!
