Hi there crazy kids!!!

I have a swamp cypress that I would like to repot. My question is, can you take away much off the rootball with this species or do you have to be careful??

Thanks

John

G'day Jester, i take 3/4 off the rootball when i work on swampies. I have never lost one yet. My method is ..take it out of the pot,cut the bottom off with a saw. Then i bare root it and tease it out, scissor cut it at least half and replace it into the pot making sure you work the soil in to the roots. I prefer a large chopstick. have fun. :tu:
