I'm looking for a untrained juniper for an attempted at a phoenix graft.. Its going on a fairly large mallee root.. Please post photo and price..
We have a range of J. chinensis 'shimpaku' here. Some idea of what size you had in mind and any preference for shape would make it easier to pick some out.
General indication:
11 cm pots, trunks less than 1 cm $6
15 cm pots, trunks 1-2 cm $12- $30
15 cm pots field grown, trunks 1.5-2 cm $20-30
25 cm pots field grown trunks 2-4 cm thick range of height and shapes $50- 120
There's one tall one in a 25 cm pot with not much movement or taper in the trunk, about finger thick and 60cm tall that might fill your requirements, $50.
Thicker ones might present difficulties making the trunk conform to your lump of wood.
Post and packing will add maybe $20 or $30.
