Hi there,

Picked up this cheap Sabina, its trunk is about 45-50mm thick, and fairly stiff, what guage of wire would i need to get movement out of the trunk or any other suggestion.

Thank you.

Hi Velvet ', mate there must be a typo there somewhere , that's a might thick trunk at 450- 500mm no hope of bend anything that thick .Now if it was 45mm thick i would suggest trunk splitting , there are several methods i believe on this forum . Do a search and you should be able to find the info .

I have seen Shibui perform this on a Juniper and i was astounded how flexible it became .I think Grant Bowie did a demo here on Ausbonsai ? .Cheers Alpineart
