hey guys

my name is matt i'm very new to bonsai and i finally dug my first "suburban yamadori"
i work in a cemetery as a stonemason and i was given a job to restore a monument and to my surprise to arriving at the plot i saw this lovely little honey suckle ? (or so i'am told) growing between some sandstone kerbs, which is what i was there to fix
on my initial inspection, it seemed fantastic, well to my untrained eye anyway
so i began to dig around an see what the roots looked like and to my surprise there were 2 tap roots they were at least 2 to 3m long no feeder roots were to be seen
i followed the roots as far as i could until they went deep down under and in between other graves,
so i had no chance of finding the feeders, i covered the roots back up because i got called away
the tree sat over the long weekend and when i returned on tuesday the tree was in a lot of trouble, leaves were turned up side down and turning brown
so i got the tree out as fast as i could potted it
i gave the tree a hit of seasol and a good water, an now i'm playing the waiting game but i was wondering if anyone had something else i could do to try an save her

Not looking good Matt, without enough feeder roots to supply the tree I think your chances are pretty slim

What a bummer !. Keep it out of the direct sun and wind and seasol water every 2 days and hope
You can take off any damaged foliage if you want and hope for the best.

Such a nice little trunk there, hope it will recover as you could have some stories to tell about its origin.
My Brother was an undertaker, so I know the funny stories that are wound around cemetaries
