How do you satisfy 500 ladies in one night. Well I did. Eat your heart out Hugh H.

Here's how you do it. Get invited by Bunning to do a bonsai demo on Ladies Night, give each lady a starter tree and a bonsai pot and teach them how to pot up a bonsai correctly, and at the end of 3 and a half hours you have 500 happy and satisfied ladies all of whom are very pleased with themselves. Absolute madness. great night.

yeah some most likely did fake it, but I will never know, as usual.

Paddles, the awkward questions i'm fine with, its the hard ones I get stuck on.

Ken, we already have a great club here in Rockhampton. Capricorn Region Bonsai Society Inc. been up and running just over 2 years now. we have about 40 members and holding our 2nd exhibition next month. Its a great little club. I'll post some info about the show soon.

Wow, but am I the only one who gets the impression that most of those trees are gonna die?

The 500 trees might die. But, won't they come back for more. Is that just a marketing ploy of Bunnings????

Well, to be honest I was a bit like Coocarch, but to my surprize some of the ladies, who have recognized me in the street have said thier trees are sill happilly growing. and some have joined the club. Also since then our local Bunnings has improved the quality of bonsai stock and supplies. So in all, I think the venture done what it was surposed to do.
Yes, a lot of the trees may die from neglect or lack of knowledge, but there will be those few which will get that spark and continue on and that is why I do what I do.
