Hi guys,

I took it upon my self today to grab a few keepsakes from the mess know as "Occupy Laman street"
See: https://saveourfigs.wordpress.com/

I've always love these trees, they have always been apart of my memory as me and my folks used to frequent Newcastle Library quiet regularly. This is another example of Bureaucratic bungling at the hands of Newcastle city council.
The long week end storm that made the pasha bulker famous, failed to move these trees so i doubt they are a threat to anyone, maybe if council had a bonsai enthusiast on board they would see that chopping it back could do wonders and put their minds at rest.

So 20k worth of security :lost: :lost: :lost: :lost: :lost: :lost: [a temporary fence and a mall cop]     later i had this baby:

I used a seedling tray with a layer of washed river gravel and a thin layer of premium potting mix:

Then a fair bit of river sand:

A make shift cover:

I used Hormone powder, cut on a 45 degree angle and sealed the cuts with Manueka honey so hopefully they take.

I tried a few different methods, it'll be good expirience to see what works out and what doesnt all i know is that i have a little piece of Novacastrian history in my collection.

Any pointers or tips are always welcome. If you see anything wrong holler at me :)

Thank you.
