i'm thinking about attempting to make some cuttings(probably of a bottlebrush, there's a big one just outside my house)

i'm curious if there's anything i should put onto the end of the cutting to help it grow(anything that i might have around my house?)

also:

is there any specific angle i should put the bottom? flat? on an angle?

should i remove some of the bark around the bottom of it leaving the middle open?

how often should i water it?

I think Pup has grown some larger cuttings by placing them in a tub of water and leaving them. Have a search and you should find something from him. I think he uses honey as a hormone

Always angle cut the base if you can as it will help with movement out of the ground for the lower trunk which always looks nicer.

What size cutting are you taking :?:
If you are taking larger ones then i would sugest aerial layerings, as they are much easier to do.
Check out my post at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2919p31068 for info.
Then for the cutting advise check out pups post on callistemon cutting.
Maybe he may even jump in and advise. Good luck!
