Hello, i bought this stock juniper for my first ever bonsai project.
I started off by trimmer away the dense foliage but became stuck. I am hesitant to keep cutting back incase i go too far.
I am seeking some expert advice on where to go for now. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks, Stuart.

Hi Stu, what you have is "Juniperis chinensis" and is a prostrate made to grow into an informal upright. A fairly tough cookie and you can take off more than what you have. You need to make main branch selection ( which it looks like it already has ) then start to select your secondary branches, which will be the smaller ones coming off your main branches. Dont take off all the foliage or your branch will die. You can definitely thin it some more.

Looks more like a Procumbens to me Bhodi. I may be wrong though. Also a pretty tough monkey.
