This is another tree I used as a Demo at the School of Bonsai Show last weekend.
It is an Airlayer of a tree I won as the raffle prize at "Bonsai By the Harbour" 2 years ago

I took off 2 airlayers off the tree, and the middle section is one of my Shohin Comp trees viewtopic.php?f=140&t=9123&p , and this is the top section of the original tree.
I hope to make it into a Mame sized tree eventually but it will be real tight to get that small :-). The result might be just little too large. :lost: :crybye:

The pot is a little large for the tree, but is so nice I thought I just had to use it anyway as the root ball will need to be reduced over time to fit a Mame Pot anyway. As an intermediate step it went into this one as the demo.
This Pot is a Pat Kennedy one I purchased at the Goulburn show a few weeks ago

Note the tree is potted into Diatomite / Zeolite mix as usual.

Nice Ken,
looks good, the pot is somethin special also.Them figs just keep on, keeping on dont they. Last tim i did i just stuck the cuttings in the garden, and away they went. No stopping them.
Tell me,what is the ratio of the diatamite / zeolite mix you make.As ometimes i think my trees are just like hydroponics. For when after sifting the native soil there aint much left there but black chips of who knows what. :lost: But must be alright, my trees are powering on.
Cheers mate.
