Hi all.

I have been doing some reading and in one of my native bonsai books by Dorothy and Vita Koreshoff it shows how to airlayer using 2 pieces of thin wire and placing them around the trunk and tightening till the wire cuts into the wood, and the wrapping the area with sphag moss and plastic.
Has anyone used this method.

Pat

I have tried it on a Birch but it failed. I usually use the ring bark or sliver technique. Tourniquet method is recommended for slow to layer trees
