I helped the owner put this one together 5 years ago on an earlier visit, and we had pulled it apart and put it back together in this composition. He had not long pruned it back hard and it was bursting with new shoots. It is important to let the tree grow a little and remember that secondary branches are generally longer closer to the trunk. I would prune end shoots at 2 or 3 leaves and back shoots for future structure go to 5 or 7 before removing the tip. Each prune would be at least the new shoot and may include 1 or 2 of the new leaves.
