Post by Reece »

Hi everyone as mentioned in a previous thread Ill be featuring in a Japanese documentary about Bonsai becoming more popular in the west. It should be airing on Monday night at 9pm our time on the channel NHK World (if you have Foxtel you should be able to get this) as part of a regular program called "News Room Tokyo".

It can also be viewed here:

At the same time by clicking on "Now On Air"

Besides my brother, his friend and I looking completely out of our depth. It also features interviews with masters Masahiko Kimura and Kunio Kobayashi and Also Yoshi Nakamizu. The owner of the Omiya village restaurant, ultimate tour guide and all round Bonsai legend!.

I feel like this will be a great watch for any bonsai enthusiast. You will get to See Omiya museum and Kimura and Kobayashis collections......

I knew I'd seen him before.

Yoshihiro Nakamizu, at about 2.20 into the video time, is the oriental version of the Indian chief from the movie 'Dances With Wolves'

I keep thinking he's saying 'totonka' in Japanese.

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.
