Callistemon viminalis
I have had this as a stock plant for many years, watching it deuterate until last year when I made the decision to do something with. Influenced by Penjing it has become a tree moving one way.

Your photography skills are quite simply breathtaking.
Very nice. Looking forward to seeing this develop over the years.

Re: Callistemon viminalis
Interesting composition. The vertical dead trunk counterbalances the wind-swept foliage nicely. I would like to see it in a few years - will you simplify and ramify, or will you keep the complexity?

Re: Callistemon viminalis
The way I see it is that the flower size will be the main thing I will work around. So I will probably go down the track of simplifying but at the same time adding complexity with the branch movement.
