Re: Problems with site?
Hi there.
Why is it that I have to log in all the time?
I tick the box to automatically log in but still get asked to log in.
I also have to log in from time to time even in the middle of browsing the site?
My credentials just seem to be dropped and I have to log in again!
It is very frustrating.

Re: Problems with site?
P.S. Just happened (got logged out) another 3 times...
Does this happen to anyone else? Or is it a local thing on my PC?
Thanks in advance.

thats not caused by this site, it will be your browser. if you are using IE try the link below

Re: Problems with site?
Hi Paul.
Thanks for the reply.
My problem has nothing to do with autocomplete (that link you provided) mate.
I'm using an apple mac and chrome as a browser..
Autocomplete works fine but if the log in automatically actually worked I'd never have to use this!
As a note I don't seem to have problems with other sites?
Eg. Footy tips I automatically log into this site all the time every time with no problems....

Re: Problems with site?
Apparently there are lots of people with this problem. Some say its a problem with Google trying to combine their Autofill with the website's Remember Password function.
A few people have been able to uninstall, then reinstall chrome to fix it.... but other then that, I can't find a fix for it either

Re: Problems with site?
Thanks Jason.
Re-installing Chrome doesn't sound like a good idea to me (with all due respect).
I've gone and deleted (all 9) of Ausbonsai's cookies from my browser settings.
Now I've started from scratch and with a quick peek around things may very well be better...
I'll keep my progress updated.
Might I also add that I too still receive many posts in which pictures don't show up and some won't even load when I click on the broken picture links.
I do however think the latter is due to the browser booting me from the site as this fault is often followed up by me having to log back in!
Cheers,

Re: Problems with site?
damn ive never had any issues with chrome before, I just assumed if your having problems it must be IE... because IE is terrible
when I get home ill try out chrome and see if I get the same problem, could be caused by an update or something

Cheers,
I did have a hunt around a few different forums, but none really had any clear solutions (other then reinstalling). You think it'd be sorted by now, I've found complaints back to 2010 about this same issue
In saying that, I just found this post:
just found a solution to this problem that i was also having - under settings>options>under the hood>content settings, manually check the box that says "clear cookies and other site data when i close my browser" and then save&close the browser. open chrome again and go into the same settings and uncheck that box. i did a test by logging into igoogle and then closing my browser and reopening it and the problem was fixed.
That seems to be a logical fix to, so maybe see if you have that box checked in your setting?

Re: Problems with site?
With major drama's accessing the site over the last 3-4 months I have tried everything possible . With numerous emails and calls to a Mod , Member and Steven whom I hope I haven't caused too many headaches for , I have found out that my Service provider has the issues .
My provider has had a DNS Problem according to a test I ran , I reported it to the provider and suggested they do a DNS flush as recommended by a helpful young member and within 2 days i'm back onboard , so far so good .
I recommend if you are having issues contact your provider as Telstra is digging up lines all over the country as we know and a line in another State could be supplying your service or could be rented by your provider . If only I knew this 4 months ago I could have saved a lot of unnecessary headaches for all on the forum who assisted me .
I don't understand the tech talk nor how I managed the test , it came up after an error occurred so I ran it . Ask your service provider for assistance if it too baffles you .
Thanks once again to all whom assisted .
Cheers Alpineart

Re: Problems with site?
Seriously? I use firefox and it is by the far the best browser available. Working in tech support as well, I would go so far as to say it is certainly the best available option to the public.Beano wrote:I use Firefox. It can be a bit dodgy sometimes. Probably is a browser problem.

Anyone still using Internet Explorer..... *sigh*.... i feel sorry for their patience, which is surely tested. You need bonsai patience for Internet Explorer. Even security on your PC or Mac.... sheesh, do yourself a favour and convert to Firefox.
I don't have the problems with log in with Firefox either, I would suggest scrolling through the settings and make sure it is setup appropriately and that you have the latest version of Firefox.
