Annealed Japanese Copper Wire
Hi all,
I will be carrying/stocking Annealed Japanese Copper Wire from now on as part of my future business and will have some stock at Bonsai By The Harbour this weekend for sale.
The wire will be available ex Canberra by Australia post around Australia.
I will commonly stock size 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18. I have also been asked to stock 17 and I usually carry small amount of 19 and 6.
Smallest rolls are 1kg and I have some 2kg rolls at at a small (approx 10%) discount.
PM me for further details, costs and postage.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: Annealed Japanese Copper Wire
Thanks for the conversion chart there Grant. Now that I know what sizes I need, I will save up for some!
So the Redwood turns to the Bonsai and says "Lend me a Tenner"......

Re: Annealed Japanese Copper Wire
does annealed copper have more holding power than the coated aluminium at the same size?- does work hardening stiffen copper too much to be re -used--or does anyone unwire and use again --or cut and dispose

Yes, big time.
It is more expensive than aluminium but you use less as it is thinner and it holds very well, sets well and then blends in with the tree. The wire can stay on the tree for many years.

The heavier sizes can't be reliably re used so cut and dispose
The lighter gauges may be reused if you wish.
