Hows the Fuchsia doing?
I've got one I started a few months back but trying to build it up a little before pruning and working as a bonsai. Mines in flower and has went through some bulk growth a couple weeks ago.

Nice work Pureheart,
Your little Fuchsia is coming along very well.
Nice silhouette and great bark.
Looking forward to seeing this in flower and a Bonsai pot.

Re: Fuchsia Bonsai Defoliation
Saw these this morning and thought, what the hell are they? They look very different from the flower, is it a fruit or a seed pod?
A little bit of growth over the last few weeks with these guys popping up and a couple new shoots.

Yep, they are seed pods, not fruit so don't eat them
Cheers

Re: Fuchsia Bonsai Defoliation
I removed the seed pods to put the vigor back into the tree and not the pods. It’s only had. A little bit of growth so far in the winter so wanting to keep the growth and build in the tree and not the flowers or seeds as they come.
Not sure if it’s the correct thing to do but it makes sense in my mind
