[Sno] Ficus rubiginosa

Post by Sno »

Bought from Ray Nesci's last spring it was under $20 . I chopped it when I got home and played with the roots sometime in summer other than that it's just sat around .its current height is 90mm

$20?

That must be thicker than it looks. Good luck anyway Sno!

I pruned unessary branches at the start . Unfortunately let it dry out once when life got busy but it bounced back well . It's spent the winter chilling out in the tv room .

I don't expect anything to happen for another month or so . This window is on the northern side of the house there is still a bit of snow on the south side (the shady side ) from the other days snowfall.

So this tree was kicked out side a couple of weeks ago and has been living in a terrarium since . We have been having a cool spring with light frosts up in the mountains so on the really cold nights I put lid on it . It's in a little pot and has adjusted well putting on new growth .

I swear almost every time you post something Sno I get more and more curious about your house/garden! There's always something random to see that is so interesting.
Great pot and I like the fig ... it looks like you've got it potted in 100% DL!
Thanks for your posts :tu:

I root pruned this again a couple of weeks ago , changed the angle slightly and cut back reasonably hard to start some ramification .
