material: Kindly gifted to me by fellow Ausbonsai member - originally collected
cost: free

obtained the tree as raw material 15 months ago and potted into this container about 6 months ago. work on the top of the tree is now ready to commence.

I dig this one Hugh.
I wonder if you'll get flowers?
I manage to consistently get flowers on my Baekea and they are beautiful little things!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Really nice. Looks like it will be a serious contender, well done and nice stock.
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.

yeah it flowered for me last season. they flower September through feb with the main show November/December. I won't be surprised if it dosnt this year but who knows!


This guy should fill out rather quickly, the foliage is course but they ramify closely so should come good density soon with some new growth.

gaining density quickly. Made a few small adjustments a few weeks ago and pruned also.
