Not a leaf out of place, not a weed almost everyting has a beautiful stand. Most trees are accompanied by accent plants with their own stands. :worship: :hooray: :tu:
You guys have set a very high standard.
I did spot a moth on pic. 52  But you cannot swat the little guy against your nice clean backdrop.
My favorite is the Kunzea in pic 53.
My other favorite is the hawthorn at the NBPCA which was obviosly part of Grants presentation.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.

BTW, do you know what kind of tree nr 25 is?
Greetings to all AusBonsaiBuddies and have fun!

Lisa

Lisa ,i believe it is a Willow Myrtle

Craig
Thanks, Craig. I managd to read the card enlargement and it says "Agonis sp." and "Willow Myrtle". Agonis flexuosa is a native of W.A. It sure makes a special bonsai.

You guys in Perth/Fremantle have raied the bar!

Did both swatted the moth carefully and raided the bar with some menaces from the east. Thanks for the kudos guys. Now we can slow down and get ready foe Melbourne saving has started, Although if Lindsay buys the big Rhaphiophylla like he said we should be able to make it. Although I doubt his banker will say the same as he bought the winning tree at the Auction, which was donated by the winner of the BCI award newzealandteatrees, then a little elm that has featured here in a brown Patrick Kennedy miniature pot was donated by myself and wife, managed to raise $ 175-00 and is going to QLD.

It was nice to hear the comments from the Guys from the Eastern States that have been involved it a lot of these say that the Bar is set very high now.

So I was very happy to here that, also after changing my shorts 6 times I finally got my presentation over, with more that a few :oh bugger: moments. As it was my first ever power point ones. So to all of you that came up and Congratulated me on a job well done I thank you very much, I had a ball.Alas when we got home a note on the door from the neighbour whetted our spirit we had been flooded, by the, I think wettest night as we were unloading to put the trees away it opened up and poured Fremantle Harbour onto the streets. So we are now in clean up mode Mrs Pup went the garage fridge and in it half of the cool-drinks had exploded ( I'm the husband so who got the blame not Huey) oh well thats life. I will definitely remember coming together for our Bonsai Weekend.
Cheers a very tired Pup. :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :aussie: :aussie: :aussie:

Hi all,

Just dropped in to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the WA folk.

The bar has been raised for those on the east coast and the bar was well and truly raided by a lot of people.

The quality of display and the quality of each tree was very high. A lot of attention to detail by all the folks certainly paid off.

As always the annual conventions are very busy and you often don't get much time with each other. I bumped into Craig(he pinched my seat when I was giving the NBPCA presentation) but then missed him after that. Sorry about that.

Anyhow see you all in Melbourne! Then Canberra! Then Brisbane/Golde Coast etc etc etc.

Grant

great show went down on sunday with the "BONSAIDOG"...too many favourites to list...one thing i did think was great was i bought a copy of Mr Lo book and manage to see him and he was so appreciative of the purchase that he walked arround looking for a pen and signed it for me...great to see.
Dianne (president of the WA bonsai society i think) had a great display of home made pottery for bonsai and i wish i had taken more cash to purchase some.... :crybye:

Great job on all the pics Craig and good on you Steven for creating the album.

This was an event that all those that missed it will regret. Raised the bar is an understatement as is raided the bar. But not as much as the bar raided our wallets. That display was the best I have laid eyes on, and an absolute credit to all involved. All those trees belong to only 12 people who are obviously very talented and committed Bonsai artists  It is a pleasure to know them. :worship:

The whole event ran very well and was professionally organised with things running to schedule the whole weekend. The Sat night dinner was fantastic and we all had a great time. My only regret was having to leave. Lo is an amazing man and very entertaining and I hope to see him work again.

Pup. 'Okay' ;) He knows what I mean.

In my eye YES Tony, thanks mate it was a pleasure, we are very pleased with all that we accomplished. By yesterday we were getting tired and some edges were starting to fray. Then today we hosted Roger for a chat and lunch, waiting for the others later in the week.

I have some of the entertainment on Saturday afternoon with the white gloves and the swan, with upturned wings that he has been told, he will not live down.
I also have the demo for Sunday of the Casuarina. Just have to crop them and get rid of some that the focus was not right as he moved around a lot. Also some of the critiques on Sunday morning.
Already planning for Melbourne, going to try and sell some bigger trees!!.

Tony I thank you and Cris for some entertaining moments, Danny is hanging in the Office of the Banker, who thought it was only the shorts.
OK mate :hooray: :tu2: :palm:
