Yellow Patches

Post by Jester »

Hi guys........I have a Chinese elm with a beautiful thick layer of rich green moss. Lately though I have noticed some yellowish/orange patches developing, and this is despite all the rain we have had. Has anyone experienced this?? What is the cause? Will it get worse?

Thanks

Is the tree healthy? if not get rid of the moss it is only an embellishment to the tree.
If it covers the whole pot, it is dangerous for the tree!!. Which is not what you want. Not a dead tree with a wonderful layer of moss.
I have seen this too often.

As Asus pointed out it is cyclic.
