Re: Which 5 pots do you like?
I liked 1,2,3,5,7,8,9,10,13,15,,16,17,18,19,20. So basically all of them. They are very beautiful pots. I especially love some of the glazes you've experimented with. Also 9 with the "crackedness" it has (I'm sure there is a better word for it than that). 5 and 8 are beautiful ovate shaped pots with beautiful colours (would definitely love them in my collection). The blue in 2 and the speckled blue in 10 are fantastic. I'm a lover and a sucker for a blue glazed pot they draw me in every time. I love the thickness or the look of thickness that 15 gives. I could see myself using that for a large JBP literati that I have. Where it needs to give the impression that it has a stable grounding but also show off the tree beautifully. 17-19 love the glazes! Lastly 20 is a great shape for a pot. I love what you have done with the corners ! Simply fantastic!
Keep them coming !
I know the idea was to name 5 that you liked. So if I got to the 5 standouts for me would be 1, 2, 5,9,20.

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Re: Which 5 pots do you like?
I would do some very bad things to get my hands on that number 4 pot
Next after the clear winner of the no. 4 for me would be 19, 5, 20, 7 and maybe 9. In saying that I was going off depth, texture, curves and overall shape. If I could meld a couple together taking the best of each I'd pick differently. But that number 4... ohh my. If you own it and want to sell PM me please haha.
Cheers,
Pearcy.

Sorry the pots aren't for sale. Once the majority of votes are in I will post the details of every pot for all those that want to order one in future.Pearcy001 wrote:I would do some very bad things to get my hands on that number 4 pot

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

Re: Which 5 pots do you like?
This would be a really good option for some of the local potters to gauge the wider interest in glazes and styles.
It's interesting to see that our views don't appear to be "random" and that a few standouts are starting to show.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: Which 5 pots do you like?
9 and 19 are my absolute favourites. I have a literati juni that would just slot right into 9, and there's something almost archeological about 19....
Then very close behind are 6, 18 and 8. All gorgeous, though.

1, 8, 9, 15, 19
In order...
8, 15, 9, 19, 1
Honourable mention goes to 3.
Why is more of a harder thing to explain as I'm only just starting to look at pots more seriously now.

All are fantastic but to suit the trees that I currently have, I'd probably have to choose 6,7,9,15 & 20. Can't wait to have more info & details(including approx sizes of pots) posted. I'm in...............

My selection would be 9, 15, 17, 19 and 20. They are all however outstanding and each and every one is welcome in Wodonga.

4,7,9,15... & 2 (mainly due to the colour, not really sure what I would do with it but it is beautiful) Interested to see how this all pans out - great experiment!
