Alternative Pots

Post by regwac »

For some time I have been experimenting with alternative materials , trying to come up with affordable , lightweight and largish pots . Particularly slabs , having “ harvested “ several large granite slabs and suffering the resultant sore back .
Here are a couple that I think are close to the mark . Feedback welcome .

“ The Beast “ is on its way to new home near Melbourne . 800 x 800 mm it is easy for one person when empty and fitted with slots for lifting handles.
The beast is the one on the pallet !
My latest work is wood slab inspired . About 1200 mm long . Lightweight when empty , slots for lifting handles when planted .

Hi Graeme,

That is really cool. I like the concept and the look!
Unfortunately I’m broke. I am going to have to sell some Lego before I attend this Bonsai pot day. :palm:
But I really like the colours and look of them. and fact that they’re lightweight.
