Banksia oblongifolia

Post by Rory »

Banksia oblongifolia

This is a fantastic species for Bonsai. This was purchased from Glendale native plant nursery in Glendale, NSW.
It is a bit of a slow grower, but its finally popped since I purchased this.

All I've done is untangled the root mass and trimmed it back, then placed it into this bonsai pot by Pat Kennedy (Australia)

Yes, I know Grant Bowie.... it is overpotted (wifes orders to no longer have training pots), but it has a fair bit of washed river sand in it, so it dries quickly. Looking forward to this developing over time.

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.
