Hi
I have two quick questions on my two maples.
One is a red maple which seems to be getting buds and i would like to know if this is normal, since tomorrow is spring?
Second is a triple maple but it seems not to have any activty and i want to know if people think its dead or if i need to do something or more it so it comes back to life?
I have included some pics for help.
thanks

Re: Maples
spring is early this year. i have over 600 tulips flowering in my garden atm which are 4 weeks earier than last year,my trident maple bonsais have opened up and most japanese maples are just about to burst. with your TRIDENT maple if your worried just do a small scratch under the bark. if its green than its still asleep. if its brown then this maybe not good. more than likely its just asleep. there is alot of variation on bud opening within species, pot bound, placement , watering can all vary this.

Re: Maples
My Trident maple has gained some buds over the last 4-5 days, none of them have opened yet
Mmy Wisteria on the other hand gained its buds around 2 months ago, they started sprouting on the 21st(of this month)
