Re: Rock Adhessive
I would use some solvent based Liquid Nails Landscape Adhesive - not a water based one. Only problem is it is grey. I saw a topic on wee trees where a guy had then used grout coloured to match the rock to disguise the joints.

Re: Rock Adhessive
You can also use Sellys Knead It. Make sure to get the Aqua one.You can mix oxides through to get the colour you desire.

Re: Rock Adhessive
Peter Adams showed us how well gorilla grip works and I managed to find an identical substitute being Vise Grip at bunnings for about $5 stuff is great for glueing anything bonsai related. Wires, rocks, pots and even branches when they crack.kcpoole wrote:Gorilla Glue,. or I think Selleys still make an equivalent on

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Rock Adhessive
You could try (silicon sealant) invented by NASA. used to build fish tanks.bonds glass together .very strong .Not your average silicon but looks the same . Can be bought from tropical fish shops. not very expensive.non toxic.

Re: Rock Adhessive
I have a sandstone rock glued with araldite about 18 years ago -still strong.
One of our members told me construction adhesive (no more nails, etc) is not permanent when exposed to water and elements.
He recommends tile adhesive mixed to a paste with bondcrete OR 'Builders Bog' - 2 part gap filler for permanent rock adhesive.
Rock glues can be coloured by mixing in concrete coloring oxides.

Re: Rock Adhessive
Selleys Knead It, for me. Also, when cutting or shaping the rocks for better fit I always collect the dust and rock chips. Once the rocks are glued together sprinkle the collected residue over the glue and gently firm down. Hides the glue seams really well.
