Bonsai Society Australia show and Workshops

Post by Gary Bee »

Strangely there has been no mention of this event......? :lost:

I called in and had a close look yesterday. (have to work this w/end)

SPECTACULAR!!

Dorothy Koreshoff's influence (President) coupled with a forward looking youthful committee's determination has produced a great show.

Worth a look! Some very mature trees beautifully presented. :tu:

Castle Hill Council Chambers
CASTLE HILL 10:00 TO 4:00 Sunday
ENTRY $4.00

That's all the info I can pass on whilst working....... :tu2:

Regards
Gary
Yamadori is purely Bonsai in spades
My Avatar is a female Apis Mellifera (honey bee) from before 2600BC
Up until now she has been responsible for pollinating 80% of mankind's fruit and vegetables
as well as 90% of mother earth's flowers. What if...............?

Hi,
I just came home from the show.
Some really great trees that are worth a look.
A great Black Pine and even a beautifully developed Privet.
Pham Bao Khanh Linh also has a couple of great displays and did a presentation on planting a very lovely trident maple in a rock (Asian Coral) which was originally owned by Dot Koreshoff. (He demonstrates again tomorrow at 10.30)
It is open Sunday until 4pm at Castle Hill Council Rooms.
Admission is only $4, so go and have a look.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I called in and had a look, but did not take any pics sorry, Pressed for time :-(

There was lots of Azaleas in flower, Several really nice large cascade junipers and some big figs too.
a really nice Shohin display in the front corner was well worth spending a while looking at.

I loved the big fig. There was one really spectacular Black Pine and , despite the fact that many people have an aversion to Privet, there was also a beautiful privet on display as well.
