Books or learning Material...?

Post by captmorgs »

Hi.

I am new, I have had a bit of a look around trying to find a topic or information regarding any good books for beginners but can't seem to find anything.. I apologise for posting it in here as it said nothing about bonsai but I can't seem to find a section where this info would be...

Can anyone recommend any good books/dvds that are good from a beginners point of view?

I have 3 plants and just am a bit unsure of where to cut them and how to shape..

cheers

Captmorgs, I have one massive piece of advice for you if you are starting out in bonsai... Find and join your local bonsai club. they often have a library of books to borrow, and read...

Depending where you live in Melbourne, join BSV or BNW.

They both have very knowledgeable members, some of whom are on AB.c.

Hi Captmorgs,
Your timing is excellent.
Bonsai Society of Victoria is holding its annual show October 8th and 9th at Box Hill Town Hall.
For sale will be Books, tools, pots, and trees for beginners and more advanced.
The hall will be filled with wonderful examples of bonsai from some of Victoria's best artists.
And lots of people who will be keen to tell you about bonsai.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.
