Post by Pat093 »

Hey guys i have been growing this maple in a big grow pot for just on a year now and i wanted to experiment on it, just with style and wiring and just get to learn more, but i wasnt sure how to go about it and now i think i have left it too late buds are nearly about to break.

I find it odd that you are in Newcastle and it hasn't leafed out yet? I am in Canberra and mine are in almost full leaf?

I would not purne it just yet...wait until it has leafed out and hardened off, late spring, late oct/early nov.

Hi mate,

First of all pasting images, you need to remove the [ IMG ] and leave the. [ img][/img ].
With photobucket just hit the direct link button then use the image button ^^^^

I bought a Japanese maple about 2 months ago and it was not only bare but the majority of the stem was was white.
But as of today it is full green and growing like crazy and i am in Newcastle. I can take pics if you like.

Ive been told they prefer their soil and little more dry then soaked like the natural environment they would thrive in.

Maybe remove those rocks and monitor the soil???!!!??

What part of Newcastle are you from?

Hope this helps
