Hi Ken,
The placement of the accent is usually on the direction side of the Bonsai, either facing the Bonsai or going in the same direction.
Due to lack of space some were placed in front of the Bonsai, which is wrong and for the same reason some were moved to the wrong side because they clashed with the one next to them, also some of the owners moved them to where they wanted them. This is one thing that we have discussed for the future and will try to rectify. It is a matter of educating people displaying as to what is a suitable accent and what size and stand to use and also limiting the number of trees on display to avoid overcrowding. We tried to get an idea this year by getting a list of Bonsai before the show and their approximate size, but we still ended up with many more large Bonsai than small.
Cheers, Jonden

Thanks Jonden
I assumed that something like that was the case and not just a mistake on the arrangements. Just trying to Educate everyone whenever we can :-)

That is the problem with large trees, that they take up so much display space

Ken
