Love ya work Alpine
I like your ingenuity in using the mandrel bent exhaust, will be interesting to see how it pans out over time.

Re: Some new trainers
This was a challenge as the short 50mm thick trunk with all the inarch graft attached makes it difficult to bend and no room for slip ups
Cheers .

. It doesn't matter what they look like as long as it works . I will return the wheels to Noah's Scooter 1 day . Cheers .

Hi Luke , it will work or the tree will die .Plenty of good roots and 1.5m Nigra's are tough as .Couldn't think of a more simple way of bending such a thick trunk without snapping . It would have been very difficult to do lone , Arnolds help was invaluable . Right place right time you could say

WOW!
the scooter wheels is really thinking outside the box! I guess that is where the artistic side of Bonsai comes in to it. that is certainly using your initiative!! Any more tricks up your sleeve?
Oh by the way, I injured my back nearly 2 years ago, and have quite a few restrictions put on me by workcover. That is how I cam to get into bonsai, I loved gardening and nature in general, so I looked for a way to still have a hobby I can enjoy. I used to go mountain bike riding every weekend through forests and bushland just to soak up the beautiful trees, now I can do that in my own backyard
Well I wouldnt say beautiful trees just yet, but they are getting there
Keep up the good work, and dont let anyone tell you that you can't do something

Hi Luke , 1 crushed vertebra , 2 bulged discs and now a third rupture disc , cant keep a good man down . Still got 2 arms 2 feet and a heart beat so that means i cant turn my toes up yet . Almost anythings goes up here if it works it works , the idea came about thinking of the principal of a tube bender /pipe bender , i will just leave it in the bender .
