Fusing privet

Can anyone confirm for me that european small leaf privet will fuse if bound together.
I have many small single stem sapplings and would like to try and fuse them.

Hi Steve,

I am no expert on privet but I have braided larger specimens together in gardens to form topairy, and the trunks fused together very well, so I can imagine soft smaller seedingds would fuse together quite readily.

I do recall a post from alpineart a few months ago using trident maple, and thats worth a look at as well.
