What ficus are people working with?
Just wondering what ficus species people are working with as bonsai? Species i'm growing include Ficus obliqua, Ficus rubiginosa, Ficus microcarpa var hillii, Ficus microcarpa "tiger bark", Ficus virens, Ficus racemosa and Ficus coronata. Few more species as cuttings. Looking forward to mucking round with some of these fig species and seeing what happens, would love to see what others are working with

obliqua
eugonoides
rubiginosa
benjimina
virens
microcarpa
retusa - green island
retusa
and possibly a couple of others types aswell. these are all very common species but are some of the more bonsai compatible in regards to development and leaf size.

Re: What ficus are people working with?
Ficus microcarpa hillii
Ficus Bejamina
Ficus rubiginosa
Ficus macrophylla
I am also a big fan of figs.
Really hope to have some success with some Balinese style fused mega figs.
In the meantime enjoying mucking around, have an idea for growing fig seedlings inside a two part mould.
