no worries penny im back on and trotting, working on 2 pots right now and starting a 3rd. im not sure if my teacher is impressed cause its time to teach me to do platters he sais i know its all part of getting the rudements of wheel technique. but im bullying him into teaching me to make pots. there goe's his system.

Platters can be turned into great landscape trays (handbuilt). It's a good technique to learn. I'm giving a workshop at our next meeting where participants will be making their own landscape trays (platters with holes) with the cracked earth finish.

ps: if the platters are thrown on the wheel, they can be used as suiban.
