lumpy fleshy bits on my azalea after flowering? What the...

Post by Stewart_Toowoomba »

Hi all

I have just defoliated my azalea and i had to chop off a few green lumpy fleshy deformed 'fruit' from the areas where the flowers had formed. Any ideas what they are and why my plant got them? Sorry didn't get a photo but i'm sure someone out there in Azalea lovers land can help me. I looks like some form of fruit had formed or maybe a bud deformation as a result of some parasite or other nasty.

Help please... :lost:

picture is always good

Could be a fruit, could be that dreaded fungus that attacks the foliage and sepals causing them to become deformed and succulent like in appearance.

However........picture is always good
