Birch and maples for brisbane?

Wondering what birch and maples can be grown in brisbane? Have seen a fer birch locally but unsure what sp they are. With maples i believe tridents do alright here, what other options are there?

I think it depends on were you are in Brisbane.
Japanese maples grow but struggle at my place and I am near Morayfeild but I have a friend that lives at Maleny and he has many varieties of Japanese maple growing at his place.
Tridents do well in owe climate with some shade from the summer sun.
