PINUS LAMBERTIANA aka sugar pine

Post by Luke308 »

Hi guys and girls,

I am currently looking at eBay for seeds and came across a pine I had not heard of. PINUS LAMBERTIANA which is apparently native to Oregon, California, and North Mexico. I was wondering if anyone had had any experience of growing them here, particularly as bonsai? I'm always on the look out for something different and against the grain, maybe I'll bite the bullet and give it a go anyway?

For anyone interested in seeds on ebay, I recommend "Australian Plants and seeds" http://stores.ebay.com.au/Australiana-P ... 581&_pgn=2 I have personally bought seed from them twice now with no hassles whatsoever.
