i brought this very healthy looking tree last weekend for only $3, i have no idea what it is tho.
anyway, here're some pictures that i just took
i haven't looked under the soil or anything yet, i will when i report it(into a bigger pot)

looks like a juniperus chinesis of some form. doesnt look like the spartan or an upright version of them so it could be a good one to use with a few years growth.

so long as you are not expecting and hot weather in the next few weeks, and you give lots of water and seasol. Do not take off very much root or other wise disturb them, and you should be OK
In Sydney we have had a few days in the last couple of weeks well over 35 Deg and hot winds. As such if you were here I would not recommend it.
